Brand new ward facilities were opened in May 2012 after a £3.7m redevelopment on land behind the original 1924 building.
Today is has a 24-bed ward for – in normal times – post-operative, geriatric and palliative care, with patients referred by their GP or after a stay at an acute hospital. It is currently dealing with Covid patients needing community care before returning home.
An outpatient unit also has a range of clinics and a physiotherapy suite.
